The Gentle

Xun is wind — entering every crack.

Enter through the smallThe Gentle

The softest wind outlasts the hardest wall.

Xun is wind — formless but effective. Its entering: wind gets into wall seams, hinges, sleeves. All soft things outlive hard ones: water outlasts stone, cloud outlasts mountain, words outlast force. Xun is also advice: in a field not your own, take the Xun posture first — observe, permeate, blend in; only then comes the right to speak.

The lines speak of advance and retreat, and of the warrior's steadfastness availing. Xun is easily misread as pure compliance, but it asks: between advancing and retreating, do you have your own verdict? Softness is method, not stance; softness without judgment is just collapse.

Practice This week handle one thing you would normally take hard — a conflict, a demand, a negotiation — the Xun way: listen first, watch first, move later.
In the four domains

01Career & decisions

Influence enters like wind — through repetition, not confrontation. State the same message patiently through every channel until it is simply the air.

02Love & bonds

Persist gently. The steady, respectful follow-up — not the ultimatum — is what carries a hesitant heart across.

03Wealth & resources

Compound small trades, small sales, small savings. Wind works by repetitions; so does wealth.

04Body & mind

Practice twice daily, briefly. Gentle persistence on the body — stretching, breathing, walking — penetrates where intensity fails.

Timing & action

Repeat, refine, repeat: choose one message or practice and let it blow steadily all month. What the wind keeps touching, it changes.
